Jaycie completed her second grade year with flying colors! She received the "Spectacular Speller" award on the last day of school, largely because she was the first one in the 2nd grade to spell "persuasive" for the principal one day during the year. She consistently made 100% scores on weekly spelling tests (she may have only missed one or two words the entire year), and she did a great job writing stories with few mistakes. Not to brag, but we may have a future author on our hands! (Either that or a WalMart cashier - she is still hanging on to that career idea!)Jaycie had a wonderful teacher this year, which made learning lots of fun. She loved school so much that it was often part of her extra-curricular pretend play time. Although she will miss second grade, she's really ready for the challenges of third. That's my girl!
